My re-create sounds great! I have an early on 70s press for comparison, prob a 1971 printing and this sounds a bit ameliorate, higher highs and a bit more dynamic, its flat and dead tranquillity. My dead wax has "nrp" etched which is prob Nashville record production and I have the same hype stickers on cover, there is admittedly cipher on my copy that would atomic number 82 me to believe its from Europe. Anyways this is a wonderful copy, peachy buy for $24

Very cool and hip that I own the first pressing of this equally information technology's being reevaluated. Hope gen z gets on the sly train soon

My copy is pretty great. Artwork is articulate, vinyl is super thick chief ruby (couple tiny black flecks but that's okay), almost perfectly flat, sounds good. For virtually $20, great bargain.

Comparison time:

2013 Music On Vinyl - cute pressing genuinely every bit perceptibly quiet every bit any Supervinyl or UHQR overpriced hype records. Very adept mastering, thick warm and sounds analogue even if it aint. Mayhap a lilliputian rolled off and lacks abit in soundstage. Very easy to listen too and enjoy.

2018 Sundazed KPG cut red vinyl - good quality RTI pressing if not as silent as the Tape Manufacture chore for MOV. Looks great though and is quiet enough for sure. Mastering wise it is a step upward from the MOV issue having more than clarity, bettee stage depth and particularly width. The actress clarity means the occasional vocal hotness is more than pronounced but information technology stops short of being harsh.

2021 Epic/Sony ltd ed reddish vinyl - the wordt of the agglomeration. Sounds a little flatter and thinner than the MOV. Its not harsh and doesnt do too much incorrect. Its just not as natural i estimate. Certainly very unlike to the KPG cut. The vinyl is too non every bit quiet equally the MOV merely is on par with the Sundazed. However two copies ive tried both exhibit some warp and off centre'dness with some scuffing from the card printed inner.

All records were Degritted heavily before playback and played on the same vintage Pioneer PL-51 dd with Shure M75 nude elliptical.

Conclusion:
1st - KPG Sundazed blood-red
second - MOV regular black
third - Epic red ltd ed

This pressing and mastering are stellar. Blows abroad my US original and MOV reissue. The muddiness is almost gone on this i.

Lovely re-create. Dainty with the translucent red which seems to go with the foreboding, underlying acrimony Sly had at this bespeak in his career. In that location is less of the pop-centricity here than in earlier S&TFS releases, going more toward bass-riddled funk and social justice outcries. Perhaps Sly's last slap-up efforts, and this pressing gives information technology skilful due delivering an enjoyable sound stage with depth & separation. Uses the total spectrum of my kit - Rega RP3, Dynavector 10x5 w/P75 phono phase, Parasound HINT6, ATC SCM11 speakers. Funk on.

The new 1 in 2018 in Red vinyl they used the Kevin Gray cut ... I actually bought the 2007 Wes Garland cut because when I bought this I didn't know from Kevin to Wes ... It was sealed that's all I know... Just WHAT I WANT TO KNOW... IS or Information technology ( airplanes flying to a higher place and squeaky chairs drum machine abrupt snare hit on Spaced Cowboy ) Sorry is the Kevin Gray version different sounding and so the Wes Garland... Frankly there'southward probably a better LP reissue altogether with Kevin Gray's name on it ...
